Irresistible: A Brother’s Best Friend Romance Page 3
“Oh God,” I groan, and let out a long, high sigh. But Austin’s not done. All of a sudden, he starts licking me again.
What is he—oh, God. Oh God.
A second orgasm hits me almost immediately. My body arches on the bed and I let out a cry. Immediately Austin reaches up and clamps a hand over my mouth, and I laugh beneath his cupped palm. When he crawls up and hovers over me, he gives me a warning look.
“You’re being too noisy,” he hisses, a wild look in his eyes as he removes his hand from my mouth.
“I couldn’t help it, Austin,” I whisper. I bite my lip and run my hands over his back. “I want you so much.”
All the reasons why we shouldn’t be doing this flutter through my mind again. But it’s too good to stop. I move a hand between us and feel the huge bulge waiting for me.
But Austin pulls my hand away.
“No,” he says, his jaw flexing. “Not like this.”
“What do you mean, not like this?” I say. I give him a serious look. “Austin. I want you.”
“I want you, too,” he mutters. “Jesus. So bad. But that little cry you just let out? It’s going to be three times as loud when my cock’s inside you. So we’re not doing it here. Not like this.”
I’m disappointed. Of course I’m disappointed. But…maybe he’s right.
“Okay. Fine,” I say, and then grin. “Will you at least let me go down on you, too?”
He gives me a barely perceptible nod. He stands up between my legs and groans as I free his cock. Oh…my. He’s thick. I wrap my fingers around his shaft, lick my lips, and move my head forward. I take him as deep as I can, then bob my head up and down his length. He sucks in a sharp breath and runs his hands through my hair.
I love the way he feels in my mouth. The way he tastes. I can’t wait to swallow him…
Austin’s fingers tighten against my head. I bob my head faster, delighted with the moan I elicit from him. When he rasps out that he’s close, I keep going. Then he’s erupting in my mouth, his sweet release shooting over my tongue. When he’s done, I slide his cock out of my mouth, swallow, and grin up at him.
“I like the way you taste,” I say.
He laughs. “I like the way you taste, too, Chloe.”
Chapter Seven
Austin
I stay with Chloe for as long as I can that night. We cuddle together in her bed, sleepily talking for a while. She tells me about school, about her dream to be a travel photographer, and then asks me about my life. I tell her about what my days are like. She asks if I’ll come visit her and I promise her I will.
And then, eventually, Chloe falls asleep in my arms. I stay in her bed, fighting off sleep for as long as I can. But eventually it’s a losing battle.
I force myself to slide out of her bed and sneak back into my own room.
In the morning, I wake feeling tired from the lack of sleep. But I also feel incredible as the memories of last night with Chloe flood my mind. A few minutes later, I’m in the bathroom brushing my teeth and I see Chloe start to walk by the open bathroom door. She slows to a stop and smiles, laughing as I hurriedly rinse out the toothpaste and dry my mouth.
“Hey,” I say, stepping toward her. She glances down the hall to make sure there’s no one around, then steps into the bathroom and rises up on her toes to give me a kiss.
“Hi,” she says, smiling as her hand drifts up my chest.
“I had a really, really good time with you last night,” I murmur.
“Me too,” she says quietly. She gives me another quick kiss, then backs away and steps out of the bathroom. “See you downstairs.”
We get through breakfast without raising anybody’s suspicions, as far as I can tell. It’s probably because Chloe and I both ignore each other. It’s almost physically painful to not look at her, to not smile at her, but there’s no way I’m screwing this up.
Soon, though, it’s time to say goodbye to her. Rob and Denise and the kid and I have to hit the road—Denise has something back in the city she needs to be back for.
“When are you flying out, Chloe?” I ask as we get our stuff packed into the car, trying to sound as casual as possible.
“Later this afternoon,” she says. “It was good to see you, Austin.”
“You too,” I say, the desire to kiss her burning like hell in my chest.
Then, to my surprise, Chloe wraps her arms around me and gives me a hug.
“Call me,” she murmurs against my ear.
I give her a slight nod. I want to say something more to her—I don’t know what, just something—but my eyes catch her brother looking at us, so I just clear my throat and step away to put my bag in the truck. I say goodbye to Rob’s folks before taking my seat in the car.
Rob doesn’t say anything on the drive back, but I can feel a slight tension between us. I know he’s got to be wondering what that hug from Chloe was about.
Then again, Chloe hugged everybody goodbye—maybe it wasn’t as suspicious as I thought.
Either way, I’m going to be as careful as fuck.
I feel more and more guilty as the week progresses. By the end of the workweek, I can barely look Rob in the eye at work. It’s not just about what Chloe and I did that night. It’s also about the fact that I’ve been talking to her on the phone every night since.
Guilt aside, though, it’s been a good week. Those phone calls with Chloe have been the highlight of my days. In just a handful of days, it feels like we’ve talked about everything; it feels like we truly know each other now.
And I can’t fucking wait to see her again.
We’ve made plans for me to fly down Friday evening for the weekend. It’ll be a short visit, but you can bet we’re going to make the most of it.
We’re going to soak up every last second we have together.
It’s almost three o’clock that Friday afternoon—I’ve cleared my schedule and am about to leave to head straight to the airport—when Rob stops by my desk and asks me when I’m doing with the rest of my day. Fresh guilt flares in my chest.
“Just some personal stuff,” I say, as I keep gathering my things. “You doing anything this weekend?”
“Got a kid’s birthday party to go to,” says Rob. “And I think Denise wants to go look at new couches or something.”
“So big plans, in other words.”
“The biggest.”
“Well…have a good one,” I say, standing up and pushing in my desk chair.
“Thanks,” he says. “You too.”
And although he grins at me, and gives me a friendly slap on the shoulder as I walk past him, I still feel like he’s suspicious of my so-called personal day.
He knows something’s up.
I mean, the dude’s been my best friend for ages.
There’s no way he’s this oblivious.
Somehow, Chloe looks even more beautiful when I see her again. I feel like the luckiest guy in the airport—actually, the world—when I walk off that plane and see her waiting for me.
“It’s so good to see you, Austin,” she says, hugging me tightly. I’m practically lifting her up off the ground.
“You don’t even know,” I murmur into the soft fabric of her shirt. People stream around us in the airport as we continue to hug. And when I angle my mouth to hers and kiss her, she presses herself even harder against me. A passerby hoots and Chloe laughs against my lips.
“I think we better stop,” she says, pulling away. “Or we’re going to give everyone a show.”
“Damn it,” I growl. “Fine.”
We go over to get the rental car I reserved and then start driving away from the airport. Part of me wants to drive straight to her apartment and carry her into her bedroom and show her how much I’ve missed her. But as we’re driving, I hear the grumble of Chloe’s stomach and am reminded of my own hunger, too.
“Where’s your favorite place to eat?” I ask.
She barely has to consider the question. “There’s this Japanese p
lace I love that’s not too far from my apartment. We could go there. They have fantastic sushi.”
“Sushi it is,” I say.
Twenty minutes later, I’m holding the door open for Chloe and we’re stepping inside the restaurant. It’s cozy and small, and we’re greeted by a friendly woman ferrying a pot of tea to a table.
“Sit anywhere you like!” she sings out.
Chloe and I scoot into a booth in the corner and pore over the menu, deciding to split a bunch of different kinds of sushi and other little plates.
“I feel like I should give you a warning,” says Chloe. “I can pack away a lot of sushi.”
“I like a girl with an appetite,” I say, nudging her foot.
“You do, huh?” She smiles. “Even one that eats you under the table?”
Our banter is interrupted by the woman from before coming over with tea.
“Complimentary,” she says, setting it down, shooting us both a smile. “Such a cute couple.”
“Thank you,” says Chloe, her face brightening. She picks up her menu. “I think we’re ready to order.”
Over our meal, we talk more about the photography project Chloe’s working on for school. I talk about work a little, but not too much—because talking about work inevitably brings Rob to mind…and how I lied to his face by not telling him that I was coming to see his sister. Anyway, I’d much rather just sit here and listen to Chloe.
Chloe eyes the last piece of sushi on one of our plates—a perfect piece sitting there alone.
“I already ate my fair share,” says Chloe, nudging the plate in my direction.
“Nope,” I say, pushing it back. “All yours.”
She tries to push it back but I don’t let her. Finally, sighing, acting as if it’s an inconvenience to have to eat the piece of sushi, she lifts it to her mouth and slides it between her lips.
It’s faintly erotic, watching her eat it. It’s something about the raw, sheer piece of fish, the perfectly shaped bed of rice. And isn’t sushi an aphrodisiac? Not that either of us will need one—I’ve been feeling a buzz between us since the moment I saw her at the airport.
Chloe chews and swallows, then takes a sip of her tea. She smiles at me when she sets her cup down.
“What?” she says.
“Nothing,” I say, smiling. “Just looking at you.”
Then I lean across the table and give her a kiss. It’s a little longer than just a peck, and I can feel the heat between us in anticipation of what’s to come tonight.
When I pull back and settle into my seat I notice a few people staring in our direction with judgmental looks. I don’t know if it’s because we’re being affectionate in public or if it’s because there’s an obvious age gap between the two of us, but whatever the reason, screw ’em.
I can tell Chloe notices, too, though. But then her attention is diverted by a sound coming from her phone in her purse. She scrambles to turn it off. Then she quickly slips something into her mouth and washes it down with another sip of tea.
“Birth control,” she mouths.
“Ah,” I say.
“Speaking of which…” she says, leaning across the table a little. “Do we need anything for tonight?”
The corner of my mouth lifts. “Like?”
She shrugs. “I don’t know. I’ve never…you know. Do we need lube or anything?”
“No,” I say. I’m not shocked to hear she’s a virgin. I’m glad she told me, though, so I know to go slow. “Trust me. I’m going to get you plenty wet.”
Chloe’s cheeks flush. “You are, huh?”
“Don’t you remember how wet you were when we—”
The waitress walks up to our table. “Would you two like anything else?”
“Just the bill,” I say, already reaching for my wallet. As soon as the waitress walks away, though, I look back to Chloe.
“Sorry. Did you want dessert?”
She bites her lip and smiles. “No. I just want you.”
Chapter Eight
Chloe
“So, is it what you expected?” I ask.
We’ve just walked into my apartment. I spent most of today cleaning it, which was probably not the best use of my time since I’ve been behind on my schoolwork this week…but I wasn’t about to bring Austin into a dirty apartment.
Austin takes in my apartment for a couple seconds, then tells me it’s exactly how he pictured it.
“Except for those flowers,” he says, nodding toward a vase on the counter. I picked up the flowers yesterday on a whim. “Someone bring you those?”
“Huh? Oh, just my other boyfriend.”
“Very funny,” he says, pulling me toward him. “Hey, I’m sorry I didn’t bring some for you.”
I shrug and smile. “I guess I can forgive you.”
I lift my chin for a kiss, which he gives to me. My body heats up as our kiss deepens.
“Come on,” I say, pulling back and threading his fingers through mine. “Bedroom.”
I lead him through my little apartment and into my bedroom. When we enter it, instead of turning on the light switch, I plug in a string of lights.
“Too cheesy?” I ask.
“Nah. It’s fuckin’ romantic,” he says.
I laugh. He steps close to me, slides his hand around the back of my neck, and pulls my mouth to his. While we kiss, he peels off my clothes, discarding one piece at a time on the floor. When he gets me down to my bra and panties, I step away for a second so he can get a good look at me.
“You like?” I say. I have on a black lacy bra and matching panties.
“You’re gorgeous no matter what you’re wearing, Chloe,” he says. “Now take it off.”
I strip for him, letting my bra fall to the floor and then sliding down my panties. He moans at the sight of me standing naked before him. He yanks off his own clothes and pulls me over to my bed.
I press my head back into my pillow as he pushes my legs open and runs his tongue over my aching clit. I’ve been fantasizing about this all week and I come practically right away. Immediately, I want more. I want him in the deepest, fullest of ways.
“I’m ready, Austin,” I murmur. “Please. I need you.”
Austin moves over me, his body towering over mine. He kisses me intensely as he reaches down and presses the tip of his cock to my slit.
It doesn’t hurt when Austin pushes into me. But it’s such an intense, full feeling that I let out a cry anyway. He stops pushing and looks at me seriously, gaining control over his own lust.
“You okay, babe?”
I nod. “Yeah. Keep going.”
He pushes further into me. Holy shit. He keeps going deeper and deeper.
“You feel so good, Chloe,” Austin grunts.
I force my legs open wider and he pushes in the rest of him until he’s fully inside of me. Oh, God. I’m breathing so hard already. When he pulls out and thrusts into me the second time, I can feel how much wetter I am already.
I run my hands over his back, loving the feeling of his muscles flexing as he grinds against me. With each pump, I feel a tiny spark of pleasure start to grow. My breath catches in my throat and pretty soon I feel a deep surge of need.
“Harder,” I tell Austin.
“You sure?” he growls.
“I’m sure,” I say. “Fuck me, Austin.”
He makes a sound in his throat and kisses me deeply. He draws out of me almost all the way. Then he drives into me harder and deeper than before, sending a rippling pleasure shooting up my core.
“Fuck,” he groans.
He thrusts hard into me again. Soon, he’s slamming into me so deep and hard and fast that I’m completely lost in the pleasure of it and can barely breathe.
“Austin,” I cry out. He clamps his mouth to my pebbled nipple and I arch my back. “Oh my God, Austin!”
He grunts loudly against my breast. I curl my head up and press my lips to his ear. “Come inside me.” I run my hands down his back and over his smooth, muscle
d ass. Feeling his ass bounce up and down between my legs as he pounds me tips me over the edge.
And Austin is right—he does make me scream loud.
I’m still riding out my orgasm when Austin jerks against me, his ass tightening, and I feel him come inside of me. I cling to him, drawing big gasps of air into my lungs.
“Chloe,” groans Austin, holding me tight, moving his lips up to kiss my neck.
We hold each other like that for a long time.
A little while later, Austin looks me in the eye with a grin and says, “So. Are we going to spend the rest of the weekend in bed?”
“That doesn’t sound bad,” I say, biting my lip as I look at him. “Although we could spend some time in other parts of my apartment, too…”
“You’re saying you want me to fuck you on the kitchen counter?”
I laugh. “I mean…why not?”
“And on your couch?”
I nod.
“And everywhere else?”
I nod again.
“How about we start in the shower?”
I give him a kiss and he pulls me out of the bed.
In the shower, he goes down on me while my back is pressed against the tiles, then fucks me while hot water streams down over us. Afterward, we dry off, then dig around in my freezer and find a pint of ice cream I’d forgotten about.
We’re settled into my couch and are just about to dig into the ice cream when I hear my phone ring. I excuse myself and step into my bedroom to grab it. When I pick it up, I see that my brother’s name is on the screen. Part of me wants to ignore the call—I don’t want to spend another second away from Austin—but I know I’ll just keep wondering why my brother called, so I tap answer and press the phone to my ear.
“Hey,” I say.
There’s a pause. Then Rob says, “Who is this?”
Suddenly, my eyes land on a second phone on a nearby table. My phone. Which means…shit. I picked up Austin’s phone by accident.
Flustered, I hang up on my brother.
